SALT Dentists Take on Candy Buy-Back

The dental practices of SALT love Halloween! While - as dentists - we fear this candy-loaded holiday because of the potential for cavities and tooth decay, our offices in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho celebrate by making it a fun competition.

Candy Buy-Back Event

During Halloween, several practices put on a 'Candy Buy-Back' event. They ask people to trade in their candy after trick or treating for cold, hard cash. Okay - really it is just for $1 for every pound of candy - but some offices get more than expected! The big winners can take home gift baskets, gift cards, and more. Check out what our dental partners are doing for the 2023 Buy-Back event!

Cascadia Kids Dentistry

Cascadia Kids Dentistry - with offices in Issaquah, Kent, and Maple Valley, Washington. Maple Valley will be the ONLY location accepting Candy Buy-Back trade-ins.

Nov. 3rd
Hours: 4pm-6pm
Maple Valley location ONLY.

It will pay out $1 (cash) per pound of candy. We will be donating the candy to a local assisted living facility.

Kids Dental Specialists

Kids Dental Specialists are joining in on the Buy-Back fun!

Nov. 1st - 9th
Hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.

It will pay out $1 (cash) per pound of candy. We will be donating the candy to a local shelter, Chino Neighborhood House.

DaBell & Paventy Orthodontics

Candy Buy-Back event with the orthodontists at DaBell & Paventy - with 6 locations across the greater Spokane area!

Nov. 1st-2nd
Hours: 8 am to 4pm

Located at 720 Evergreen Rd. in Spokane Valley. Kids will receive $1 per lb., all candy will be donated.

Seattle Kids Dentistry

Our partners in Seattle at Seattle Kids Dentistry are promoting Candy Buy-Back! Here are the Buy-Back dates:

Nov. 1st & 2nd: 7:30am to 3:30pm
Nov. 3rd: 7:30am to 1:30pm

Kids can earn $1 per pound up to $10 pounds. Prize basket for whomever brings the most candy! We will be donating the candy to the YMCA Youth Shelter.

KidSmile Dental

Candy Buy-Back at KidSmile Dental - located in Spokane.

Nov. 1st - 9th For KidSmile Dental Valley and Airway.
Hours: 7am - 2pm (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday); 8am-4pm (Monday- Valley only on Monday)

Kids will earn $1 per 1 lb. of candy. We split the total and donate half to our overseas troops and the others go to The Children's Cancer Camp (Camp Journey).

SALT Collects Halloween Candy for Local Charities

No, these dentists don't keep all this candy to themselves! There are many organizations out there that will take candy off your hands and send them to troops overseas or donate them to hospitals or charities. For the SALT practices, the candy will be sent to several amazing local charities, such as Treats for Troops.
